On Thursday the 22nd of September, Oxford Brookes Racing was invited to present their car at the Cotswold Life Engineering Manufacturing Innovation Awards.
OBR was joined by over 450 of the UK’s most prominent manufacturing and business organizations to celebrate Cotswold’s engineering and manufacturing prowess. The team spent the evening talking and meeting with these professionals about Oxford Brookes Racing and their respective businesses.
Lord Paul Drayson was the special guest for the evening and celebrated the Cotswolds’s success in his inspiring speech, elaborating on his rich and successful background in many different engineering fields; from manufacturing to Motorsports to bio-science.
Also being presented during the evening was the Electroflight P1, a fully electric plane that is being developed to set the record as the world’s fastest racing plane. Current simulations of the plane have reached speeds of over 300 miles an hour. The team were fortunate enough to speak to the engineers and members of the Electroflight project and learn about their developments over the past years.
Oxford Brookes Racing extend our thanks to Cotswold Life for the fantastic opportunity to attend their event. OBR was able to learn from industry professionals about a wide variety of topics.
